Join us Friday, April 7th from 7:00-10:00pm for the Opening Reception of “Natural + Cultural Landscapes” featuring the works of:
Michael Schweigart
Michael lives in Pitman and has been a visual artist for more than 30 years. He’s inspired by the natural landscape and has broadened his scope with paintings of urban street scenes and the human figure. Schweigart states, “I’m always interested in new subject matter to challenge and expand my visual horizons. No matter what I decide to represent it’s my intention to imbue the work with depth and mood, as well as, create believable paintings. The underlying abstract shapes that are the foundation for my work are accentual to the naturalistic qualities many have come to identify with my work.” He has been exhibiting his paintings in galleries and museums throughout New Jersey, Philadelphia, and New York City. His paintings are published in books and magazines, have won numerous awards and are included in many public and private collections. Michael is a graduate of Rowan University and teaches Art at Rowan College at Gloucester County.
David Nolan
David Nolan works primarily in oil paints and has studied at the Hussian School of Art and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia, as well as with Delaware artist Edward L. Loper, Sr. For over a decade David has been an instructor in aesthetic programs for the Violette de Mazia Foundation which became incorporated into the Barnes Foundation in 2015 where he continues to teach.
